Recent committee changes
Steve Wright stepped down after being the chair of the society for 8 years. He has done a really great job and luckily he has agreed to remain on the committee. The Chair is now Helen Metcalfe she is a town planning consultant and a specialist in neighbourhood planning and working with communities.
The Village Society has been active since 2014 in its current form years and the new committee are taking the opportunity in 2022 to ask all members (and anyone else who is a resident of Burton Joyce) to complete a survey to confirm (or otherwise) the main focus (or objectives) of the Society. The Survey will be launched in September – it will be online on the web site https://burtonjoycevillagesociety.org which is currently being updated. Paper copies of the survey will also be available from the Parish Council Office. We will also have a stall at the Community Market on 10th September where survey forms will be available and when you can also talk to us about the work of the Society.
